Work from Home

How to Work from Home and Still Be Productive

1 Keep Regular Hours

Even though you are working from home it doesn't mean you can drop in and out of work whenever you want.

2.Schedule Your Breaks

Just as if you were in a traditional work environment, it is important to take scheduled breaks. Set an alarm so that you are not constantly clock-watching and make sure to take advantage of the full-break. However, it is also important not to go over that break time as this can cut into your productive work hours. Plus, scheduled breaks give you something to look forward to breaking up the day.

3.Reduce the Number of Bills You Receive

Going to the mailbox and receiving nothing but bills can be stressful and a bit depressing. One good tactic is to have as many bills as possible paid automatically so never have to juggle sending in multiple payments. Another good tactic is to combine bills, such as monthly student loan payments, into one single payment

4.Get Some Fresh Air

Just as with a regular job, you should try to get out and get some fresh air at least once a day. Don't keep yourself cooped up for extended periods and make sure to get some daily exercise. Not only is it good for your physical health, but it is great for your mental health as well.

5.Ask for What You Need

Whether it is equipment so that you can actually do your job from home, financial compensation for upgrades that you have had to do, or furniture so that you can comfortably do your job. Sitting at your kitchen table while trying to work isn't going to last very long.

6.Remember That You're at Work

If you are at home working during your business hours, remember that you are at work, and not at home. If you have kids that come home from school, they need to understand that you are working and not be available until after work is done. This is especially important when you do not have your own dedicated office space
