Tips for Working From Home for you.

1. Have a Designated Working Space

If you’re trying to work in the same space where you relax, play games, etc., you’re fighting a losing battle. Your brain needs cues that it’s time to work, which is why it’s easy to switch into “work mode” when you head into the office. This is why having a designated workspace at home is so important.

2. Eliminate Distractions

Your brain is always going to seek out more interesting things to distract itself from. Instead of trying to resist those distractions, it's best to eliminate them before you start working.

3. Experiment With the Do Not Disturb Settings on Your Phone

4. Try Virtual Coworking
Virtual coworking is a fantastic way to help stay focused and keep yourself accountable. Working alongside someone, even remotely, does wonders for your focus, energy, and motivation.

5. Set Your Intentions

Before you sit down to work, it is immensely helpful to have a plan. Decide how long you’re going to work for and set your intentions. What are you going to accomplish during this session? Are there any tasks you can break down into small, easily manageable chunks?

6. Use the Pomodoro Apps and Timers

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that has helped millions of people stay focused and get work done. Typically, you’ll work for 20 minutes, have a short break, then repeat that cycle for a few times. After an hour or so, you’ll receive a longer break.

7. Set the Mood With YouTube Ambience Videos

ADHD brains often like a bit of background noise. There's definitely merit to working in silence  but some people find they focus better with music or ambient noises.

8. Create a Consistent Routine

9. Save the Fun Stuff for After Work

10. Do One Thing at a Time
