How to Make this year Your Best Year Yet

How to Make This Year Your Best Year Yet

I hope you’ve had an amazing start to the year!

As we gear up for the new year, it’s a time to reflect on the past, what we’re grateful

for, and how we can improve and optimize things for the new year. New beginnings

mean new opportunities. So here are some ways we can work toward making this

 year our best year yet!

Set the Tone

Reflect on your purpose, your why, and your goals. These are ways of thinking
about your future making plans and taking the steps necessary to make your
dream future a reality. Maybe your ideal life is creating financial freedom through
multiple streams of income. Maybe it’s starting a new business and becoming an
entrepreneur.

Know what your goals are to set the tone. And when I think about starting a new year,

I like to come up with one word or phrase that acts as the theme for the year. What

will yours be for 2025?

I also like to get my family in on the fun, helping me brainstorm themes and maybe to

come up with one of their own. My daughter chose “courage,” and my son chose “

improvement.” Both are amazing words, and it helps put everything in perspective.

Waking up every day this year thinking about living with courage shifts my

mindset to work harder toward my goals.

For the Passive Income MD community, I think this year’s theme for us could be “

intention.” It means that everything we do should have a purpose, a meaning behind

the choices we make in life. There’s a reason we’re making them, and we are

choosing. When we enjoy life and work toward that ideal life, it’s because we choose

to. What we do with our time and money…it should come with great intention

Plan and Follow Your Path

One thing that I believe delays us on our journey to our ideal life is merely going

along

with outside influences. When that happens, we can let the environment choose

how

we feel, what we do, and how we spend our time.

I’m thinking of the physician who lets the hospital administration dictate what they will

get out of their lives. That leads to burnout quickly, something a lot of physicians are

facing. If you’re like me, I don’t want somebody else dictating what I’m going to do

 with my life.

I’ve started to realize, and many members of the Passive Income MD community

have started to realize, that we can be in control of our own lives. Our time is ours.

Our direction is ours. And to slowly gain that freedom back, we have to leverage our

medical income with investing and entrepreneurship to get our time back.

So let’s make the most of 2025 to move that needle a little bit in a positive direction

regardless of where you are in your journey. Maybe you’re in the planning phase,

outlining a path that’s ideal for you. Maybe you’re ready to jump on the path and take

the necessary steps to financial freedom.

Seek Out Fulfillment

The concept of fulfillment can be deeply personal. It doesn’t look the same from one

person to another. If I asked ten people in our community what their ideal week

looked like, I’d get ten different answers.

But what is interesting is that, when we zoom out, fulfillment can look pretty similar for

all of us. We all want to feel financially secure. We all want to feel like we are in

control of our lives. We all want to be around people that we love. We all want to do

something meaningful.

Whether big or small, I think it’s important for us to clarify what fulfillment means to us.

Find what truly energizes and excites you. Make pursuing those things a priority this

year, and it will without a doubt be one of your best years.

Manifest a New Reality

Whatever your theme is for the year, how will you make your goals a reality?

For me, I want the opportunity to make an impact, connect with people, and spend

time with my family. But that means I need to give myself that opportunity. I need

freedom with my time. That’s where financial freedom comes into play.

Financial freedom is an amazing goal, and one I believe everyone should aspire to,
but it’s not a surface-level goal. In other words, it’s not just about the money. It’s
about what it unlocks. It provides the opportunity to make an impact, get connected
with people, and spend time with my family..

Additionally, pursuing a goal like financial freedom helps me grow as a person. And

the same can be true for you. When you take steps toward financial freedom, what

do you get? Do you become more resourceful? More creative? More control?

More resilient in the face of challenges?

Yes. And that type of personal growth can’t be found scrolling a phone, streaming

Netflix, or spending our time doing things that aren’t helping us clarify our goals or

taking steps that can help us achieve those goals. Growth doesn’t happen by

accident. It’s intentional.

So take a few minutes, just fifteen or twenty, to outline your goals for the year. By

naming them, you are one step closer to manifesting them into reality. What does a

meaningful year for you look like this year
